INDEPENDENCE DAY 2022

India is a country of legends, fighters, writers, warriors and holds various cultural heritages. As we enter the 76th year of Independence, Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav was observed throughout the year to celebrate 75 years of freedom. This reminds us of all the sacrifices that were made by our freedom fighters in order to set India free from British rule.

In commemoration of this, Amrita Vidyalayam celebrated Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with much enthusiasm and zest from August 13th to 17th.

Independence Day was celebrated on the 15th of August. Mr. Venugopalan, Retd. Admiral, Indian  Navy and former Chairman and Managing Director of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, Mumbai was the chief guest for the day.

Various cultural events like parade, dumbbell exercise, patriotic song and dance were witnessed after the flag hoisting ceremony. A patriotic speech was delivered by Harshvardhan Patil. The school Administrator, Principal and the chief guest addressed the gathering and shared their views on Azad Bharat and the visions for the future of India.

Age-appropriate activities like poster making, class room decors, quiz, slogan writing, rangoli, etc. were carried out. A rally with students dressed as famous Indian personalities marched through the corridors of the school, thus imbuing the values of patriotism and unity.
