Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna, the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the Protector. It is also celebrated to spread joy, love, and laughter.
Amrita Vidyalayam celebrated Krishna Janmashtami on September 6th with full enthusiasm, fervour, and devotion that one can associate with this divine festival. The school was decorated specially for the occasion and it was truly a sight to behold. The tiny tots of Nursery to Std. II came dressed up as Radhas and Krishnas. Students decorated the flute and made beautiful flowers with colourful papers. They sang Krishna bhajans, and busted the balloon filled with chocolate and danced in joy. They happily posed for the class photograph with their teacher and friends.
With their loud laughter, the campus seemed filled with positivity and life. This celebration not only taught the students to respect our culture and traditions, but also enhanced their social skills.
