Amma says, “Education for livelihood alone will never make our life complete.”
As a teacher, every single day is a celebration; a celebration of curiosity, childhood, creativity, innovation, or a celebration of life itself.
There is no need for a special day to recognize the efforts of teachers. However, this special day started with a very thoughtful poem expressing gratitude to the teachers, followed by a dance performance in the morning assembly. A special program was organized on 5th September 2023 by the student council members of 2023-24 to highlight the contribution of
teachers in a student’s life.
The program started with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp to seek Amma’s blessings. This was followed by a powerful speech by Kousthub Thorat of Class 9 on his views about teachers and Teacher’s Day. The Principal emphasized the ever changing role of a teacher which has acquired new dimensions in the digital era. She stressed on developing a research mindset and thinking beyond text books. She also explained how a teacher also learns in the journey of teaching through an anecdote.
Students presented a melodious song, a humorous skit and a motivational dance to entertain the teachers. Teachers enjoyed the day with an intelligent game and relished the snacks served at the end of the program.
