Farmers are the backbone of India’s economy and significant contributors to rural prosperity. Every year, Farmers’ Day is observed to raise awareness and to honour and appreciate all the responsible farmers for their contributions to society. In India, Farmers’ Day or Kisan Diwas is celebrated on the 23rd of December every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mr. Choudhary Charan Singh, India’s fifth Prime Minister.
Amritians of classes I to VI expressed their deepest gratitude towards farmers and agriculturists through various activities such as painting posters, dance, speech, songs and poems. The visuals of these activities may seem confined to the video, but we are sure, class activities like these will leave a long-lasting impact on each student.
