With the grace of Amma, the second year of Amrita Nursery which operates from Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Nerul, began on June 12, 2019. An initiation programme for the parents was organised on the first day. The programme began with the traditional lighting of the lamp followed by a prayer.
Principal Brni. Rekha addressed the children and their parents, introducing the unique culture and system of learning followed uniformly in all Amrita institutions. She also stressed the importance of responsible parenting which plays a crucial role in the development of a child. Br. Avyayamrita Chaitanya spoke about the divine grace of Amma and the various activities carried out by selfless volunteers in the ashram.
Amrita Nursery co-ordinator Mrs. Priya Menon introduced herself, and took the parents through the curriculum which would be followed during the course of the year. The Nursery teachers introduced themselves to the parents. The programme ended with Shanti Mantra, and sweets were distributed to all present.
