INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2019-20

The prestigious Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2019-20 was held on June 11, 2019 at the school auditorium in the gracious presence of Pujya Swamiji Br. Avyayamrita Chaitanya.

The ceremony started with the lighting of the lamp by Swamiji, Principal Brni. Rekha, Head Coordinator and Head Teacher, followed by a prayer.

Swamiji addressed the students first, and with the help of a short story explained the merits of the timeless virtue, “simple living and high thinking”.  Principal Brni. Rekha in her address, implored the leaders to work as a team, and with the help of a meaningful story, drove home the point how leaders should stay humble and not take undue advantage of the powers bestowed upon them. She also told the students the extraordinary qualities that she had spotted in them that made them stand out above the rest.

It was then time to confer the prestigious titles. Swamiji and Principal Brni. Rekha adorned the  elected representatives with sashes and badges, and the House Mothers came up onto the stage along with the respective Captains and Vice Captains. The names of the newly elected leaders for 2019-20 were announced next – Head Boy Adhil Pillai, Head Girl Tamanna Shenoy, Junior Head Boy Ayush Sharma, Junior Head Girl Shrushti Mishra, Sports Boy Shiva Jawali and Sports Girl Vedika Samgir.

The oath taking ceremony of the newly elected student council was led by the Principal where in the leaders were invested  with  powers and responsibilities.

The House Mothers along with the Captains, Head boy, Head girl, Sports Boy and Sports Girl conveyed their gratitude by thanking the Principal and teachers for giving them this opportunity. All the leaders shared their thoughts about taking on this esteemed responsibility and thanked their friends who had helped them in their journey and elected them. They promised to work hard towards maintaining the values set by the school. The House Mothers encouraged the students to participate in the various activities of the school and engage in healthy competition.

 The colorful ceremony came to an end with the rendition of the National Anthem and chanting of Shanti Mantra.
