GURU PURNIMA CELEBRATION 2023

AMMA – “A GURU is like the shining flame of an oil lamp. For the darkness within a disciple to be removed, his internal lamp needs to be lit. This is where the guru-lamp comes in.”

Guru Purnima is celebrated every year to honour the teachers, or ‘Gurus’ in our lives. It is celebrated on the birthday of Veda Vyasa who is considered to be the ”Maha Guru”.

Guru Purnima was celebrated at our school on July 3rd traditionally with much devotion by chanting Guru Stotra and offering flower petals to AMMA’s paduka seeking the divine blessings of our Satguru, Mata Amritanandamayi Devi. Teachers sang a devotional, soulful bhajan in the assembly showing their love and gratitude to AMMA for her selfless love and compassion. All the classes chanted Guru stotra and offered flower petals at the lotus feet of AMMA in the hall.
