An orientation programme for the new set of parents of our nursery section was organized to get them acquainted with the curriculum, as well as the rules and regulations of the school. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and prayer, followed by our young children of nursery to Class 2 chanting the verses from the Gita.
Administrator Brni Sharanyamrita Chaitanyaji highlighted the role of parents in shaping their children, especially in the crucial years of their growth. She urged all parents to be supportive, and to stay involved with their child. She insisted on inquiry-based learning for children and shared tips on good parenting. She discussed the importance of punctuality and urged parents to spend quality time with their children. She emphasized the importance on physical activities to channelize the child’s energy rather than getting them addicted to gadgets. She narrated how upbringing makes a difference quoting the example of the Kauravas and the Pandavas. She also announced the procedure and date of Akshararambha.
The Principal addressed the parents speaking about NEP guidelines focussing on the enrichment and co-scholastic activities to promote a holistic development. The Co-ordinator did a presentation to appraise the parents of the objectives and the philosophy of the school. This was followed by a formal introduction of the teachers of the Nursery section. The parents were also briefed about the online payment and communication portals by our ETH team.
This initial interface gave the parents more clarity as they embarked on this new journey along with their wards.
