REPORT AMRITA LEAP WORKSHOP: CLASS III & IV

Amrita Leap workshop was conducted in school on 9th February during school hours for classes 3 and 4. The objective of the workshop was to focus on the personality development of the students which helps in building confidence, discover true potential and capabilities, and to understand oneself better.

The workshop started with a prayer and the introduction of the Amrita Leap team members led by Ms. Anjali and Ms. Aishwarya.

The session started with a fun game of “opposites” in which the students had to do the opposite of what the team member said – e.g., if the team member said ‘Sit’, then the students had to ‘Stand’. Students enjoyed the game and tried to concentrate on their actions.

Various inspirational videos on teamwork, leadership, never give up, and value-based videos like ‘Don’t waste food’, ‘Save the Environment’ etc. were shown to inculcate good values and thoughts. A video on parents was also shown which made the students realise the value of their parents. They also learned to respect, love and care for their parents and family members.

After a small interval of 10 minutes, the students were divided into two groups and two activities named “Build the Pyramid” and “Passing the Bomb” was conducted. The purpose of these two activities was to understand teamwork and to discover their hidden talents.

At the end, a recap session of the entire day was done, and students shared their experiences. The session was very much interactive and the response of the students was overwhelming. The session ended with a group photo of the 145 participants along with the Amrita Leap team members.
