KARGIL VICTORY DAY 2021

The harder the battle, the sweeter the victory.

On July 26, 1999, India successfully fought for more than 60 days and ensured India’s win over Pakistan in Ladakh’s Kargil area. Prime Minister declared that India will celebrate this day as ‘Amrut Mahotsav’ in honour of the Kargil War’s Heroes.

Students from classes VIth to Xth of Amrita Vidyalayam paid their homage towards all the brave warriors of Kargil through posters, speeches, PPTs and short videos. Kushboo Kumari of Grade X left us amazed as she penned the heart-touching poem for the Kargil heroes. Ayush SharmaDrishti Kukade, Supriya Chaurasia, Vrushali Patiyal, Shrishti Mishra, Sushmita Bhattacharya, Siddharth Patil, Divyesh Rawat, Haripriya, Harshwardhan Pawar and Harish Prabhakaran (Students of class XB) mustered information, enacted, edited and rendered an interesting video. Chetan Sahu of class VI B orated a poem in honour of our valorous jawans and Shreya Chache of class VII C gave a wonderful speech. We appreciate the kind gesture of the teachers who encouraged and guided the students.

We salute the brave hearts of Kargil on July 26, as the nation marks the completion of 22 years of the Kargil War and is unanimously celebrated as the Kargil Vijay Diwas.
