International Tiger Day is celebrated every year on July 29th as an initiative to create and spread awareness about the magnificent, but endangered big cat. India is home to over half of the world’s wild tigers – an estimated 2,226.
Amrita Vidyalayam students from classes III – X were briefed about the royal species and the need of the hour to save them. Students gathered relevant information and designed posters. Face painting (Tiger Print) was one of the main activities which were carried out enthusiastically by our students.
