WORLD NATURE CONSERVATION DAY 2021

On a day dedicated to the conservation of Mother Nature, Amrita Vidyalayam Science teachers of classes I to XII designed class-appropriate activities. While primary students learned the art of germination and the importance of plants in our lives, students of grades IV and VI made a bird feeder from waste material, wherein, they not only recycled waste material but also facilitated feeding seeds to the birds. They used milk boxes, empty juice cartons, coconut shells, ropes, plastic bottles, etc., and decorated them to make the bird feeders. They later hung it in their balconies and societies and filled them with seeds like bajra and nachini.

Students of Class V made some interesting leaf artworks using various types of fallen leaves that they collected from their surroundings.

Students of Class 7 performed the activity of making eco-friendly bags. They used materials like newspapers, calendars, cloth, etc., and creatively decorated them. This activity created awareness among them to use eco-friendly bags in daily life and protect nature from harmful materials like plastic.

Students of classes VIII to XII shared information to protect nature via posters, videos, and virtual drama.
