Our beautiful country, Bharat had many freedom fighters and leaders who selflessly strived to free us from British rule. Independence Day is the day we pay our respects to our beautiful nation. We have a rich culture and heritage which we celebrate on this day.
On the occasion of the 74th Independence Day of our country, our Principal, Brni. Saranyamrita Chaitanyaji unfurled the national flag with patriotism, and gratefully remembered our freedom fighters and martyrs whose sacrifices have enabled us to live in an independent nation. The celebration was restrained keeping in mind all the social distancing norms. The school quadrangle was unusually quiet as mass gathering was strictly avoided. Nevertheless, the ethos of our freedom struggle was honoured, and the foundation of a modern India grows stronger every year.
The mission of our school is to impart the best possible knowledge to one and all. Teachers had organised various online activities such as essay writing competition on ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat‘, mask making, colouring, singing, dance, craft and badge making related to the occasion, and students reverted with the same enthusiasm as they would have during the regular school routine. Students orated patriotic dialogues and speeches on various freedom fighters. The students had chosen a virtual celebration to show their love and respect towards India. Being citizens of a free nation is a matter of pride, and the pandemic induced lockdown could not dampen their spirits.
The pre-primary section surprised us, as the little tots understood the importance of this day and diligently completed their school activity. The physical presence of every child was dearly missed, but their love and affection towards the country was greatly appreciated.
Remembering our past is extremely important. We all are so different, but the one thing that unites us is independence. Happy Independence Day to all!
