Students of classes 3 and 4 were thrilled to learn the art of making handmade “Gift Boxes”. Many of them remarked how they were looking forward to putting a special gift inside and presenting it to their parents. It was done easily with the help of paper plates, glue, colours and decorative items. The combination of geometry and art made this a very productive activity.
Childhood is incomplete without candies. Students from 5th and 6th grades revisited their childhood by making lollipops out of clay and ice-cream sticks. The activity helped students to focus while making the perfect swirls and sticking it perfectly onto the stick. The joyful expression on their faces was enough to understand how well they enjoyed this activity.
Making a personal gift from simple materials is indeed an art; the students of classes 7 and 8 learnt this when they made beautiful photo frames using cardboard, black paper and gift wrap paper. They were eager to take this beautiful project home and display their best photo in the frame.
