Amrita Vidyalayam arranged a wonderful Arts and Crafts Workshop for our students conducted by trainee teachers from Pidilite. Third to Sixth graders made beautiful rakhis out of satin ribbon, clay and Fevicol in time for the upcoming Raksha Bandhan festival next month. Seventh to Twelfth graders made beautiful murals on PVC pipes and mount board using clay and Fevicol. The idea of this workshop was to show children how one can use items that are commonly found at home creatively to make gifts or decorative items for the home. The students enjoyed the workshop thoroughly, and though they did mess up their uniforms a bit, the fun they had was priceless.
The teachers who conducted the workshop could not stop talking about the respect given to them by our students. They thanked Principal Brni. Rekha for giving them this wonderful opportunity and presented her with clay Ganpathis.
