Students happily kept neatly wrapped books for puja in front of Goddess Saraswati to receive her blessings. They chanted the Agastya Stotram “या कुन्देन्दुतुषारहारधवला या शुभ्रवस्त्रावृता” to invoke the Goddess while teachers performed aarti. The books were kept for puja the whole day and were taken out the next day after prayers were offered to Goddess Saraswati. Principal Brni. Rekha conducted the entire ceremony, guiding students through reading for 2 minutes and dwelling on good thoughts and actions towards themselves and others. She also took the opportunity to advise the children on how to treat elders, teachers and friends respectfully.
The ceremony ended with guided meditation by Brni. Rekha and chanting of Lokaha Samasthaha Sukhino Bhavantu 3 times by teachers and students.
