Amrita Fest showcased the scientific temper of our students from grades 4 through 12 when they participated enthusiastically in the Science Exhibition. The focus of the exhibition was on research and development in Science, Technology and Innovation.
A total of 78 exhibits were on display. The chief guest for the occasion Dr. Tulsi Mukherjee, Former Director, Chemistry Group, BARC, interacted patiently with each group of students to get a sense of their imaginative minds. The award winning Robotics was displayed by Senior Secondary students. The themes for the exhibitions included their ideas on rain water harvesting, energy conservation methods, waste management and pollution control measures, etc. Students left no stone unturned to beautifully depict hydropower electricity, the solar system, windmills, the digestive system, etc. They also answered questions logically which impressed the guests immensely. A wonderful depiction of a caged Planet Earth crying out against the atrocities committed by human beings through their activities conveyed a very powerful message to all. Solutions in the form of “keys” was also a very unique idea. Parents got the opportunity to interact with their wards and understand the areas of interest of their children.
