Around 700 Students from Grades III to VIII of Amrita Vidyalayam were provided the unique opportunity to participate in the Students’ Film Festival. The Students’ Film Festival was established in order to provide good educational 3D movies for students who may not be able to afford the expense of watching films in planetariums. The Film Festival was organized in the auditorium on the school premises. The duration of the films was around 1 hour, and they exposed students to educational and entertainment movies of international standards. The event was organized by the Pillara Group of Companies. The movies shown were:
1. First Man on the Moon
2. Story of the Universe
3. Chotu Dinosaur
4. How the world was made
Each movie was an out of the world experience for the students whose faces lit up each time the 3D images came alive during the screening.
