Amrita Nursery celebrated National Sports Day on August 29th, honouring the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, one of the greatest hockey players of all time. Athletes have a profound impact on society, and the celebration aimed to inspire students through their achievements.
Students came to school dressed in red, blue, and white t-shirts paired with black shorts. An informative PowerPoint presentation highlighted the remarkable accomplishments of athletes, especially the winners of the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics. The presentation also explained the significance of the Olympic Games logo and various sports like Javelin Throw, Rifle Shooting, Pistol Shooting, and Weightlifting.
The school quadrangle was transformed into a vibrant sports field, where students enthusiastically participated in activities such as navigating hurdles, sliding, hula-hooping, balancing on beams, and army crawling to reach their destination. The day was filled with energy and excitement, as students celebrated National Sports Day with enthusiasm and in the best of spirits.
