International Tiger Day is celebrated annually on July 29th to raise awareness about wildlife conservation, focusing on the urgent need to protect tigers, our National Animal, which are on the brink of extinction.
At Amrita Vidyalayam, students from the Nursery engaged in various activities to mark the day. Nursery students enjoyed creating tiger face masks, while Jr. KG students crafted tiger bookmarks. Sr. KG students made paper-folding tiger face masks to take home. Additionally, a student from Sr. KG delivered a brief speech during the school assembly, emphasizing the importance of saving tigers.
The day’s activities were both educational and fun, instilling a sense of responsibility towards wildlife conservation in the young learners.
