The chirping of the birds is the most relaxing and joyous experience. To attract more birds in the backyard, it has been a traditional practice to keep undisturbed supply of food in the backyard. To keep the children rooted to our tradition, Amrita Nursery has introduced the ‘Bhutayagnam Project’, (Bird Feeding) which motivates young ones to directly engage with nature and enhance their learning abilities.
Under this project, students from Jr. KG to Class 2 bring a spoonful of Bajra and fill the bird feeders themselves. The bird feeders are hung at various places around the school premises. The young curious minds keep checking the bird feeders to identify the birds, and they get inspired to explore Nature. They develop qualities like giving, caring, and preserving nature.
