Lesson planning is how teachers plan the curriculum goals or lesson objectives using appropriate pedagogy to obtain desired learning outcomes.
Principal, Anupama Rao conducted a workshop on “Effective Lesson Planning and Various Pedagogies”. She explained how a good lesson plan contributes to achieving successful NCERT defined learning outcomes for students in several ways. She emphasized the need of a well-designed lesson plan to attain age-appropriate skills.
She explained various teaching approaches or pedagogies like collaborative learning, co-operative learning, integrative learning, constructivist approach, inquiry-based approach and project-based approach. She explained how each approach helps to enhance the participation and learning of students in diverse ways.
The session was very interactive and it helped the teachers to evaluate and reflect on the teaching methods used by them.
