Instilling values through celebration is an integral part of Amrita Vidyalayam and the joy of seeing Bal Gopal and Radha never ceases. Students of Amrita Nursery and Class I celebrated Janmashtami in a grand manner on Friday, August 23rd. Many students came dressed in traditional attire and some of them even dressed up as Bal Gopal and Radha. The image of Lord Krishna was beautifully decorated by the teachers, and a small “palna” was kept surrounded by fruits and flowers. After the puja was over, teachers sang bhajans to welcome Lord Krishna. The children offered their prayers and partook prasad.
