All excited to welcome Bappa next week, around 60 students assembled in the Art room to participate in the Eco-friendly Ganesha Workshop conducted by the youth members of the Rotaract Club of New Bombay.
The Rotaract members brought shadow clay, mixed it into mounds and distributed it among the students. Cheering “Ganapathy Bappa Moriya”, the students enjoyed rolling the clay mounds into smooth balls of different sizes to make their own special Bappa. It was a take-home project, and the students had already made plans to place it in their puja rooms and also immerse it at their homes.
The Rotaract members were very thankful to Principal Brni. Rekha for all the facilities provided to them for conducting this workshop. They complimented the students on their creativity and also presented the school with a small Ganesha as a token of love.
This activity was conducted as a part of the Grihamritam project which focuses on each individual’s contribution to make the environment safe.
