GURU PURNIMA CELEBRATIONS

The auspicious Guru Purnima was celebrated with a lot of devotion for 2 days, July 27th and 28th, in the school auditorium. The stage was decorated beautifully by teachers, and Amma’s Paduka was decorated for offering flowers. Teachers and students from Amrita Nursery to 12th grade participated in the celebrations which began with prayer. Teachers then offered flowers at the holy lotus feet of Amma while Ashtotharam was chanted. Teachers and students chanted the Guru Stotram which was followed by the rendition of soulful bhajans.  Teachers performed Amma’s aarti and the students were later led through a short guided meditation. The programme ended with the chanting of Shanti Mantra. Students offered flowers at Amma’s feet seeking her blessings, and they happily partook of the prasad.
