Parents of Amrita Nursery attended a workshop on “Introduction to ETH” on July 11, 2017 in the school auditorium.
Principal Brni. Rekha outlined the working of ETH and the benefit of open communication between parents and the school. She asked the parents to be active members of the ICT portal.
Mr. Sanjay Awaje from ETH, Pune conducted the session and was ably assisted by Mr. Chandrasekhar. With the help of a PowerPoint presentation, Mr. Awaje walked parents through the workings of ETH, helping parents to understand the various facilities provided by ETH. The parent portal consists of daily attendance, news and circulars, transport details, school calendar, SMS and email communication, photo gallery, progress report and much more. The ETH is now available as an app on both Apple and Android phones. The mobile app “Amrita Vidyalayam Navi Mumbai” will be very useful for parents who access their phones more than the computer.
Parents also learnt about the LMS module which shows them the lesson plans created by teachers which will help students to catch up missed lessons if they are absent from school. Parents were requested to browse the digital campus at least twice a week in order to benefit from it and be aware of their child’s progress on a regular basis.
Parents who had difficulty in logging in were helped by the ETH team during the workshop. The parents were very happy about the availability of information about their wards at their fingertips.
The workshop ended with the chanting of the Shanti Mantra.
