Hindi Diwas celebrations were held at our school on September 17, 2016. The school assembly was conducted in Hindi. A short speech on the significance of Hindi Diwas and an inspiring speech on ‘Optimism’ were delivered by students.
The programme which was conducted in the school auditorium started with offering prayers to AMMA and seeking her blessings. After the prayer, students from standards I and II recited poems in Hindi. Students of standards III and IV had the audience in stitches with their comic role play conversations. Students of standard VIII presented a short story on “Hindi Bhasha ki Mahattwata”. Not only did our Hindi teachers conceptualize this programme, but they also actively participated in it. Ms. Sona Yadav, through her rendition of AMMA’s Amritavani, explained to the students that a person’s beauty should be measured not by external appearance, but by his/her knowledge and character. Students and teachers were enthralled when Ms. Neetu Sharma recited the poem “Pushp Ki Abhilasha” penned by Makhanlal Chaturvedi.
The programme concluded with Shanti Mantra.
