Students from Standards I to VIII displayed their dancing talents by performing in a dance competition on August 26, 2016. The theme for the competition was Patriotism.
The auditorium echoed with sounds of “Vande Mataram”, “Rang De Basanti” and other patriotic songs, paying homage to our brave soldiers and our motherland.
The innovative costumes and props combined with the energy of the students drew lots of cheers from the audience. Some of the performances were a fusion of Indian and Western dance styles. The innovative manner in which each song was choreographed by the students kept the student audience glued to their seats. The constant applause and cheering encouraged the participants.
Dance is one of the CCA’s offered in Amrita Vidyalayam, and the enthusiasm towards this particular activity was visible in the number of eager and talented participants who showcased their talents, evoking a strong sense of patriotic fervour.
