Students from classes XI and XII conducted a seminar on “Hiroshima Day” to commemorate the 71st anniversary of the first atomic bombing at Hiroshima, Japan.
It was conducted in 3 segments with presentations and discussions on topics such as “The History of World War II”, “The Manhattan Project” and “The After Effects of Bombing”. With the help of a PPT, the students were able to bring alive the horrific events of August 6, 1945. Students understood how Science and Technology, if put it in the wrong hands, can cause havoc and long term destruction.
A quiz competition at the end of the presentation to evaluate the effectiveness of the presentation received wonderful response.
