Amrita Vidyalayam wore a festive look the day before Thiruvonam. The morning started with a tribute to the benevolent Asura King, Maveli. The school choir sang the traditional song “Maveli Naadu Vaneedum Kaalam” extolling the reign of the great king, when everyone was happy and prosperous.
Students participated enthusiastically in various events organized by the school to commemorate Onam. The traditional “pookkalam” was elaborately prepared by the students, and it was a treat to see the combination of traditional and modern ideas. Clay Art, Best out of Waste and Pot Making was conducted for Pre-Primary and Primary students.
