The ability to motivate yourself—self-motivation—is an important skill. Self-motivation drives people to keep going even in the face of set-backs, to take up opportunities, and to show commitment to what they want to achieve.
Mr. Pradeep Mondal, a life skill consultant conducted a workshop for classes 9 to 12 to motivate students to enhance their skills and capabilities. He demonstrated the process of Positive Autosuggestion which would help the students to turn weaker subjects into a stronger/ more interesting subject, and visualization (mental picturization technique), which would defuse exam phobia. He also showed a video about various technical and higher education courses offered by the different campuses of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
Administrator Sharanyamrita Chaitanyaji addressed the students about the significance of positive affirmations, goal setting, and hard work in a student’s life.
It was an interactive session, and students asked questions related to their career, dreams, confusions, and doubts. Overall, it was a very fruitful session.
