A workshop was conducted by Pre-Primary Co-ordinator and Teacher Mrs. Vidya for the teachers of Foundation course (Nursery to Grade 2) on 24th and 25th April, 2023.
The teachers were acquainted with the use of “Jolly phonics” – UK based phonetic method of language learning in their day to day teaching activities. This is a multisensory method of teaching, incorporating phonic songs, sounds and blends. Teachers were taught the way of pronouncing, and made aware of rules to be followed while reading Bossy R, Silent E, Long and Short vowel sounds and Tricky words.
Activity based hand outs were distributed to give an idea of the same for the assessments to be conducted in the class.
