GANESH CHATURTHI AND YELLOW DAY

AMRITA NURSERY – Grade I and Grade II

May Lord Ganesh give you – A rainbow for every storm, a smile for every tear, a promise for every care, and an answer to every prayer!

Festivals build group cohesiveness, bring people together, break the monotony of routine, and energize the body, mind, and spirit. Echoing this festive spirit, Students of pre-primary and grades 1 and 2 celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi on 30th August 2022.

Ganesha is the first to be worshiped among all the gods in the Hindu pantheon. He is known as the God of prosperity and wisdom who removes all obstacles, bestows happiness, and spreads peace.

The celebration started with Ganesh Aarti done by Sharanyamrita Chaitanaya ma’am. Various class activities were conducted for the pre-primary classes.

1) Jr. KG – making of ‘Ganesha’ from paper cups using yellow origami paper
2) Sr. KG – Collage work (Ganesh idol using yellow origami paper)

Teachers explained the importance of Ganesh Chaturti in the form of a story. Students of Jr. KG and Sr. KG donned yellow colored attire to pep up the mood of the celebration and to celebrate Yellow Day. The festival brought devotion, creativity, understanding and learning.

Overall it was an enjoyable day for all.
