Education is a never-ending process. Teacher enrichment programs provide opportunities to the teachers to educate themselves, refine and update their knowledge. The aim of the workshop was to help the teachers understand the new emerging trends in teaching as per NEP, as well as to help them re-engineer their teaching methodology, pedagogy, transaction and implementation.
Vice-principal Mrs. Anupama Rao conducted a teacher enrichment programme on “Various Teaching Pedagogies” for the teachers of classes 1 to 12 on 15th July, 2022. Around 41 teachers attended the programme.
She started with the role and importance of teachers in the ever-evolving society, and the commitment they need to have towards the teaching profession. She emphasized on the need of student centric teaching and dispersing the content relevant to the needs of different types of learners in the class.
She elaborated on 5 types of pedagogies like Constructivist approach, Collaborative teaching, Reflective teaching, Integrative teaching, and Enquiry based teaching. She illustrated the pedagogies with examples for easy understanding of the teachers. She explained the 5E model of learning and Bloom’s taxonomy of learning.
The session ended with a discussion on learning objectives and learning outcomes. She also shared the LO hand book suggested by CBSE for teacher’s reference.
The workshop was interactive and helped the teachers to understand the latest and innovative teaching methodologies and activities.
