National Integration Day is celebrated on November 19th every year. This year, the day marks the 104th birth anniversary of the first woman Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. The day is celebrated to remind people about unity, peace, love, and brotherhood. Besides focusing on the diversity in Indian society in terms of culture, multiple languages, religions, geographical diversity, etc. the day promotes harmony.
Students from classes VI and VII of Amrita Vidyalayam designed a few eye-catching posters and delivered speeches on the occasion of National Integration Day. Insights were given by the respective SST teachers, an emphasis was made on national integration modules. Quotes by Indira Gandhi and the importance of the day were discussed during the session.
