Welcoming our favourite Bappa is one of the most prominent festivals of India and is celebrated with great devotion across the country. Nothing can beat the zeal of devotees who await the arrival of their beloved Lord Ganesha. The colourful walls of every home, the pandals, the glittering stringed lights, the aroma of incense sticks and dhoop, and the sweet smell of delicious modaks, as well as other delicacies, bring hope into our lives.
Our Amrita Nursery students learnt to mould Ganesha using clay, made paper-plate Ganesha, and sweets using play dough. Their joy unfolded several times as the Ganesha was being formed by their delicate hands. Their twinkling eyes narrated the story of their happiness, and their smiles indicated that they were all set to welcome their Bappa home.
