GOPALKALA CELEBRATION 2021

GOPALKALA CELEBRATION 2021

To love without condition, to talk without intention, to give without reason, and to give without expectation, that’s the spirit of true love.

– Bhagavad Gita

Children are the true mascots when it comes to the above saying. Their actions are selfless and their love is unconditional. The birth of Lord Krishna whose never-ending stories have directed us to understand the morals of life, known as KRISHNA JANMASHTAMI or Gopalkala, was celebrated by Amrita Nursery students on 30th August 2021. Students were dressed in bright colored outfits, posing as Krishna’s and Radhas performing various fun activities. A video on Krishna Janmashtami was shown to students, and teachers narrated a few interesting incidents from Krishna’s life to the students.

Nursery tots learned to make Krishna’s mukut (crown) with craft paper. They then decorated it, sang bhajans, and recited a few shlokas from the Bhagavad Gita.  ‘DAHI HANDI’ was decorated by our Jr. KG and Sr. KG students after they heard the story of Lord Krishna and how important ‘Makhan’ was to him.

The fun celebration of Janmashtami came to an end with the smiles of these little pre-schoolers as they danced to the tunes of Krishna’s flute.

AMRITA NURSERY WISHES ALL A VERY HAPPY KRISHNA JANAMASHTAMI!
