August 21st is observed as World Senior Citizens’ Day with intend to acknowledge the contribution of elders to society and increase awareness about the issues faced by them. The purpose of celebrating this day involved the moral, social, and emotional values of all senior citizens.
Amrita Vidyalayam, Juinagar decided to celebrate this day with students of classes I to V, where they expressed their love by making flower bouquets, greeting cards, and handwritten posters for their beloved grandparents. They were taught to cherish the blessings bestowed upon them and the wisdom gained by having elders in our societies. They indeed help us to transform into the ‘BEST’, as their knowledge, experience, and ideas can always take us to greater heights.
