The auspicious day of Guru Poornima was celebrated by the students of Amrita Vidyalayam, Juinagar on the 23rd of July 2021. Nothing could dampen the zeal of teachers and students to celebrate this very first occasion of the new academic year virtually with much gratitude and love.
Our beloved Amma has always imparted traditional values to her children. We at Amrita Vidyalayam sincerely follow Amma’s path to the world of gratitude. This year, the occasion was conceptualized by all the teachers in their own unique ways. They shared the importance of a ‘GURU’ in our lives. Our school left no stone unturned to exhibit love and gratitude towards their guru with folded hands and a grateful heart, where even words could not do justice to our feelings.
Creations like greeting cards, paintings, various art forms to pay their respect towards their gurus were displayed. Children orated Guru Vandana, designed PPTs and Matru Pooja was carried out. It is said that bowing down is an expression of gratitude and an opportunity to thank our elders, gurus, and everyone from whom we can learn and grow.
Showing gratitude and being grateful for everything that we learn from is our life’s biggest treasure.
