An Online in-house training on ‘Upholding ethics and integrity in teaching profession’ was conducted for the teachers of Amrita Vidyalayam, Navi Mumbai on 24th April by Mr. K Sudheer who is a Career Counsellor from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. The one hour session gave the teachers an insight on how educators should recognize their unique and influential role in society and the way one should honor the standards established their profession as a teacher. The session helped the teachers to retrospect on certain values, morals, professional core values, professional ethics, ethical responsibilities and dilemmas. The session threw more light on the importance of value education and quality education which should be the utmost priority for the decades to come. It was a fruitful session which helped the teachers contemplate and improve their ethical values on personal and professional front.
