A child can always teach an adult three things: to be happy for no reason, to be busy always with something, and to know how to demand what you want with all your might.
Children’s Day is celebrated in our country on the occasion of our first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru’s birth anniversary as he loved children very much. To make our students feel special, respected Principal Ma’am and dear teachers shared an inspirational message. “Children, you are like candles and can spread light, joy and happiness all around. With Diwali too being observed on the same day, let us all join together in celebrating an eco-friendly Diwali by saying no to fireworks and illuminating others’ lives too by being #vocalforlocal”.
A chaotic year, yet the smiles of our cute pre-primary students conveyed eagerness to celebrate the colours of light. In their enthusiasm to learn as they dressed in their bright new costumes, the nursery tots learnt to make diyas from clay or wheat flour and decorated them. Junior KG students outlined a beautiful lotus on a rangoli background, and Senior KG students learnt the art of making a Kandil (lantern).
While the pre-primary students were busy learning something new, students of higher grades left no stone unturned in thanking our Covid warriors and front liners. They expressed their gratitude through poems, write-ups and posters. The entire staff of Amrita Vidyalayam wished all a very happy Children’s Day and a bright, eco-friendly Diwali.
