GANDHI JAYANTHI 2020

Occasions are meant to be celebrated, and nothing can stop Indians from celebrating the 151st birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Born on 2nd October 1869, Gandhiji was an Indian lawyer, politician, social activist and writer who later became the leader of the nationalist movement against British rule in India.

All students were engaged in activities to mark the importance of the day. Pre-primary section teachers gave students information about Mahatma Gandhi’s life, and a colouring activity was also conducted. Primary students were given information about the importance of using masks, hand sanitizers and gloves. Later, they made posters about the same. Some students were asked to pen their good deeds, while others were asked to write a paragraph on Gandhiji’s philosophy about education. Students of higher grades wrote essays on the importance of Yoga for a stress-free life and safety measures to be taken during the COVID pandemic. Let us maintain a safe environment for our survival, both physical as well as intellectual.

Wishing all a very Happy Gandhi Jayanti!!!
