INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA 2020

International Yoga Day was celebrated on June 21st because it marks the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere – the longest day of the year – which is considered auspicious in many cultures. This year has been an extraordinary year due to the coronavirus pandemic and consequent restrictions on movement and public gathering. The theme for this year was ‘Yoga at home, yoga with family’. Our respected Prime Minister said, “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but discovering a sense of oneness with yourself, the world, and nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in our wellbeing”.

Our students’ dedication and assiduity with which each one follows yoga at home have made all of us proud.
