Teachers of Amrita Vidyalayam attended an all day CBSE Capacity Building Training in Stress Management on February 8, 2020 in the school auditorium.
The mandatory training programme was conducted by accomplished experts Mr. Rajeev Kumar Garg, Principal of Datta Meghe World Academy, Airoli and Ms. Rachna Sabu, Director of Centre for Assessment Remediation and Therapy (CART). The workshop started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by a prayer. Principal Brni. Rekha in her address to the teachers told them that the management places great importance on teachers enjoying their work, and requested teachers to utilize the many benefits of the ‘Stress Management’ workshop.
The highly interactive workshop was divided into many parts with a firm focus on the need and importance of stress management. Teachers came forward and shared their experiences while explaining the sources of stress such as meeting deadlines, managing time, balancing work and home, etc. The need to accept one’s limitations wholeheartedly and to work on strengths instead was constantly emphasized. The Resource Persons divided the teachers into six groups. Different situations were enacted by teachers through role play which highlighted the primary sources of stress. The Resource Persons guided the teachers on how to decode and effectively manage stress.
Teachers enjoyed the workshop as the various activities and the lively manner in which the workshop was conducted energized them. Participation certificates from CBSE were given to all the teachers.
The training programme ended with a vote of thanks.
