Dressed in green, the tiny tots of Amrita Nursery were all excited to take a nature walk in the school’s plant nursery and learn about different kinds of vegetables such as brinjal, ladies finger and others that are tenderly taken care of on the school premises. “Save Trees, Save the Environment” was the theme for the celebrations, and teachers took this opportunity to demonstrate the concept of seed germination to the students as well. It was then time for the students to engage in “Leaf Art” activity. The expressions on the children’s faces was worth seeing when they saw that their creations had bloomed into a tree that adorned the doors of their classrooms.
