Students of classes 8 and 10 attended Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0 2019 in the school auditorium on January 29, 2019. There was never a dull moment as the Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi kept the students engaged with his simple advice. “Be one’s own anchor”, “clarity of thought” and “faith in one’s conviction” struck an instant chord with the students both on-screen and off-screen. Modiji stressed upon the students to treat exams as an opportunity and not as a burden. He advised them to follow the golden principle of not running behind marks, and instead, to run behind gaining knowledge. Marks would automatically follow.
He asked the students to hone their observation skills by learning time management techniques from the household help who ensures that he/she is able to finish a mountain of work in the allotted time, and that too in multiple households.
His answer to stress related to competition was to stop competing with others and to focus on competing with oneself, which would ultimately improve our personality and pave way for our all-round development. Parents and teachers must be able to identify the unique strength of each student and work towards utilizing that instead of pushing them to pursue careers that may not suit the temperament of the student. He urged parents to constantly watch their children if they ever suffered from depression, and advised them to take corrective action without any delay. He said that his dream of an ideal school was one where there is a correct balance between the management, teachers, parents and students.
