Cultural Programme – Classes 6-12

The cultural programme for classes 6 to 12 began with prayers to Amma and the rendition of Medha Sukhtam by students of our school prayer group.  Students offered tokens of their love and appreciation to Principal Brni. Rekha, Coordinators, and Competition and Cultural Committee in-charge teachers. The annual report was read by the Principal after which the annual magazine, Amritanidhi 2018-19 was released. The audience witnessed scintillating Bharatanatyam performances and solo and duet songs performed with instruments by our talented students. Parents came up on stage to exhibit their talents in music and poetry. The winners of the Chinmaya Gita Chanting competition recited 15 verses from Chapter 18 of the Bhagavad Gita.  While the fine balance of body and mind was displayed through various asanas and deep yoga, students displayed their agile minds through various stunts of Taekwondo. The Secondary students stole the show with their superb mime act depicting the intrusion of cell phones in our daily lives. The young children of Class 7 tickled the funny bone of the audience by their brilliant re-enactment of 7 scenes from the movie 3 Idiots. The programme ended with the rendition of the National Anthem and Shanthi Mantra.
