The Annual Programme for classes 1 and 2 held on December 29, 2018 was an eventful one as not only the students, but enthusiastic parents also came up on stage to showcase their talents.
The programme began with the lighting of the auspicious lamp followed by prayer. Principal Brni. Rekha read out the Annual Report and highlighted the academic and extra curricular achievements of the students of classes 1 and 2. While we had Mrs. Sushmita Das, parent of Anush Das, singing a Hindi/Bengali song, Vaidehi Bhoir of 2B paid a rich tribute to the Koli community. Mr Kiran Wagh, father of Shaurya Wagh rocked the stage as ‘Bajirao’ with his power packed performance of “bajhne de – dhadak dhadak”. Anand Gopakumar and Jagiyaseni Sahu who won consolation prizes in the final area level Gita Chanting competition conducted by Chinmaya Mission recited 10 verses of Chapter 18 from the Bhagavad Gita. Mrs. Poonam Mishra, mother of Stuti Mishra performed a very graceful Gujarati garba dance. The flexibility of the young students of classes 1 and 2 brought a lot of applause from the audience when they demonstrated the Suryanamaskar.
Mrs. Geeta Rawat who hosted the programme proposed the vote of thanks, and the programme ended with the rendition of the National Anthem and Shanthi mantra.
