Ammas 65th Birthday Celebrations

Janma-dinam idam, ayi priya sakhe, shantanotu te, sarvadâ mudam” sang by the school choir in the morning assembly marked the beginning of the birthday celebrations for our beloved Amma.

The 12th graders had planned a special dedication to Amma on this special day. Hanushka spoke passionately about Amma’s divine life and how the path of selflessness exemplified by her has guided multitudes to dedicate their lives towards service to mankind. Sanskruti rendered a beautiful song, “Teri godh mein sar hai amma ab mujhko kya dar hai”, which instantly connected all of us to Amma even though she was physically far away.

Teachers celebrated Amma’s birthday by chanting Gurustotram and offering flowers at Amma’s Holy Lotus Feet while chanting Ashtotharam. Students from pre-primary to 12th grade joined in singing soulful bhajans after which they offered pushpanjali at the Holy Lotus Feet of Amma. Prasad was distributed to all and the celebrations concluded with the chanting of Shanthi Mantra.
