The teachers of Amrita Vidyalayam also attended the highly informative Personal Safety Program conducted by Arpan on February 17, 2018. Through several case studies, the resource person, Shaista explained the reasons behind various kinds of behaviour exhibited by children when they seem confused, in shock, or behave in a manner which is contradictory to their usual behaviour. The session was very interactive as teachers shared their views and asked questions about how they should handle such sensitive issues if they come across any at school. A handbook was given to all the teachers at the end of the workshop. The initiative taken by the management to conduct this workshop was very well received and appreciated by the teachers.
